Overview
June’s release is our biggest platform month yet. We’ve shipped a fully documented public API, connected Visitly directly to Brivo’s physical access control system, introduced compliance video controls that enforce training at the door, and expanded sign-in options to include Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
Every feature in this release was built around one goal: giving your organization tighter control over who enters your facilities, what they see, and how your systems stay connected – all with the audit trails and access governance your compliance teams require.
This document covers every feature in detail, with guidance on how to access each update. All features are live now.
Introducing the Visitly API: Build Custom Workflows Your Way
With the newly launched Visitly APIs your security and operations teams can connect Visitly directly to any system in your stack. The Visitly API gives you programmatic access to real-time visitor data – records, check-in timestamps, host details, pre-registration data, and sign-out logs – all through a fully documented REST API, without manual exports or custom development.
What’s new
- Audit-ready logs on demand: Pull complete visitor records for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and internal compliance reviews without manual exports or CSV downloads.
- Automate security workflows: Trigger pre-registration screening, automate sign-outs, schedule bulk data exports, and fire webhook-driven alerts directly into your SIEM or incident management tools.
- Connect to your existing stack: Integrate with your HRIS for employee directory sync, your physical access control system for credential orchestration, or any internal tool that needs real-time visitor context.
WHY THIS MATTERS: Organizations running SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA audits need more than a dashboard – they need visitor data to flow automatically into the tools that power their compliance workflows. The Visitly API closes that gap without custom development.

Brivo Integration: Connect Visitor Check-In to Physical Access Control
Unmanaged physical access is one of the most overlooked security gaps in enterprise facilities. A visitor signs in at reception – and that’s where the audit trail ends. What happens at the door is invisible.
Visitly now integrates directly with Brivo Access, connecting your visitor management system to your physical access control infrastructure. The moment a visitor completes check-in, Visitly automatically issues a temporary door credential through Brivo. The moment they sign out, that credential is revoked – instantly, automatically, with no manual intervention required.
What’s new
- Automatic credential lifecycle: Credentials are granted on sign-in and revoked on sign-out. Zero manual intervention, zero standing access.
- Unified audit trail: Visitor identity and door access logs in one place – ready for SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and physical security reviews.
- Zero lingering access: Credentials expire automatically, even if a visitor forgets to sign out.
WHY THIS MATTERS: For regulated facilities running compliance audits, the gap between who you know is on-site and who actually has physical door access is a liability. Brivo + Visitly closes it permanently. Ideal for multi-tenant buildings, campuses, and any site where every door access event must tie back to a verified visitor identity.

Video Validity: Enforce Compliance Training at the Door
Compliance doesn’t end at access control – it starts the moment a visitor arrives. Many organizations require visitors to watch safety briefings, site orientation videos, or NDA acknowledgment content before they’re allowed to proceed through check-in. Without controls, those requirements are easy to bypass and impossible to audit.
Video Validity gives you two new controls that solve this.
What’s new
- Set validity periods: When a validity window expires, the video is automatically retired. Visitors can no longer complete check-in with outdated content – your safety and compliance footage is always current, always approved.
- Mark videos as mandatory: Visitors cannot skip, fast-forward, or bypass mandatory videos. This applies to health and safety briefings, OSHA-required orientation, contractor NDAs, or any site-specific compliance content.
- Completion is logged: A timestamped record is created for every visitor who viewed required material before entry – audit-ready, with no manual documentation required.
WHY THIS MATTERS: For manufacturing plants enforcing OSHA briefings or corporate campuses requiring NDA acknowledgment before contractor entry, video validity closes the compliance gap at the door. Every completion is logged, timestamped, and ready for your next audit.

Sign In with Microsoft 365 & Google Workspace
Separate credentials for every platform are a security liability and a helpdesk overhead. Every extra login is another password to reset, another account to offboard, and another vector for credential-based attacks.
Visitly now supports sign-in with your existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account. Your team signs in the same way they access every other business tool – one click, no new credentials, no onboarding friction.
What’s new
- One-click sign-in: Every user signs in with their existing Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace account – no new Visitly credentials to create or manage.
- Automatic deprovisioning: When someone’s Microsoft 365 or Google account is deprovisioned, their Visitly access goes with it – no separate offboarding step required.
- Fewer password resets: Visitly-specific password support tickets are eliminated from your IT helpdesk queue entirely.
WHY THIS MATTERS: For IT teams managing access governance across dozens of tools, every platform that sits outside your identity provider is a risk. Visitly now falls naturally under your existing MFA policies, access reviews, and deprovisioning workflows – without any additional configuration.

That’s a Wrap on June
From a public REST API to physical door access control, video compliance enforcement, and centralized identity sign-in, June’s release reflects our ongoing commitment to making visitor management more secure, more connected, and easier to operate at scale. Whether you manage one office or fifty locations across multiple countries, every feature in this update was designed to give your team tighter, more auditable control – with less manual overhead.
